Overarching: to empower youth in English speaking, writing and listening in the way to improve and strengthen their capacity on the advocacy for peace, democracy and development in DRC and Great Lakes Region.

In its mission of empowering the youth, Congo Peace Network has organized a free of charge American English training within three months from 1 Ferbruary until the last Saturday of May. The beneficiaries were around 20 students of our Peace clubs from different universities in Goma.

The next step is the second level (intermediate through advanced level) for those who graduated and the beginning of another first level (beginners through intermediate level). The only condition to participate is to be a member of Peace clubs.

Everything has been supported by Congo Peace Network own means to make the training program and the graduation ceremony a success. Despite many challenges we faced (some teaching materials and fund for all the trainings organized, among them English) in empowering youth, Congo Peace Network still believes that it is never late for those who care about youth to get involved in supporting this youth and contribute for change and development of our country.
